He gave breath to creatures in the air, land and sea

His finest creation, very good declared he
When I read the words my heart is stirred
Thinking holy is his name

He spoke and it became reality now can’t you see

And though it had started well, this perfect creation fell
In God’s holy presence man could no longer be
But desired the Lord above to show sacrificial love
He gave up his only Son for you and for me

The Lamb our Lord became has set us free

Not to Moses
The power that he showed was not his own
Not to David
Lord Jehovah put him on the throne
Not to Daniel
Though for mighty visions he was known
Just to Jesus, Jesus Christ alone
Not to Abraham
Even for the faith that he had shown
Not to Peter
He may have been a rock but not the stone
Not to Mary
For her sins her blood could not atone
